 The Time Arts Jazz Series showcases the finest musicians from around the world in the heart of the Middle Kingdom’s top university. In its short history, the Series has built up a steady following of media attention, partners, sponsors, and audiences. The Series aims to introduce to a wider audience the various forms of jazz and related music. The Series is devoted to countering the general impression that jazz forms are inaccessible to the casual listener: We believe that quality music of all kind attracts an audience, and that jazz is no exception. |

 Rebuilt in 1409 to replace the Yuan Dynasty structure initially in its place, the Imperial Granary predates the Forbidden City by ten years, and remains the only surviving granary of its kind. Imperial granaries were vital crop storage locations for the imperial household. Through its history, the Imperial Granary has witnessed 2 dynasties, 24 emperors, the fall of KMT and the rise of CCP. In 2001 the structure was granted the title of Key Cultural Relics of the State. Currently, the Granary hosts private events and weekly traditional Kunqu Opera performances. |

FCCH is the venue of choice for the concert seasons of the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Beijing Symphony Orchestra. The hall has presented numerous maestros, orchestras, PRC first performances and art events including the Beijing Music Festival and the China International Piano Competition to the Chinese public. FCCH offers over 300 concerts every year, including western classical music, traditional Chinese music, world music, jazz, semi-staged opera and dance. |

在中国最优秀的大学之一的北京大学举办的“时代佳艺爵士乐系列”音乐会，向人们展示世界上最优秀的音乐家。这一活动开展短短一年来，已经得到了媒体、各合作伙伴、赞助商和听众的高度关注。
Peking University Hall, an international-standard 2100-seat theatre -- one of Beijing’s biggest -- is an ideal venue for the Series, with good sight-lines and high-quality sound, and remains the Series’ main venue. Students from Peking University and other area schools have a long history of regular attendance at events on campus; they make up a bulk of the audience, but music fans from across the city also attend. The Series, like other events at Peking University Hall, keeps ticket prices low enough to enable students to afford to attend – the student segment of the audience is an essential one; no student’s education is complete without some kind of musical education. We have seen the effect that music has on students, who have had little or no experience with jazz: They have proven both eager to attend and among the warmest of audiences. Audiences at Series performances thus far have been comprised of a mix of students and non-students, locals and overseas residents. As the Series brings more quality artists, the venue’s reputation as a great setting for jazz will only grow. Peking University Hall is the primary venue for the Series.
中山公园音乐堂始建于1942年，1999年4月重张开业。音乐堂是紫禁城建筑群的一部分，被海内外音乐人士誉为“中国古代园林中的音乐明珠”。中山公园音乐堂是一座专业交响乐音乐厅，舞台宽22米，深14米，舞台后方安装的美国奥斯汀管风琴是国内仅有的四架管风琴之一。观众厅有座位1419个，一层设有座位833个，含5个包厢，二层设座位586个。此外，音乐堂还拥有一座可容纳150人的小型电影厅、200人的会议厅、及可接待60人的贵宾厅。
