June 23-30: Jazz based in groove, funk and improvisational energy rarely seen with Kresten Osgood and Hvad Er Klokken (What Time Is It). Osgood is one of the leading lights of Denmark’s young and exciting jazz community, where he is a producer, record label co-founder, festival director, educator, performer and then some.

July 14-26: “Doo-wop crunk” is Prins Nitram’s own description of his combination rock-folk-reggae-pop-and-then-some music. To call him a one-man-band belies the complexity of his multimedia live Experience. Thomas Baz is along as VJ and is a talented singer-songwriter in his own right. Supported by ROSA, the Danish Rock Council.

August 2-11: Post-rock meets cinematic and exploratory jazz in Bandapart’s mind-blowing performances. The band, who has played with symphonies, internationally-renowned jazz musicians and Chinese traditional puppeteers, has already toured China twice, in 2007 and 2009. Supported by Jazz Denmark.

September 1-5: Emil de Waal + Spejderrobot is a duo featuring Denmark’s hardest-working drummer’s live and electronic-manipulations alongside highly-acclaimed DJ/producer Mikael Elkjær (Spejderrobot), creating a new jazz-meets-electronic-music hybrid. China’s foremost practitioner of quirk-folk, Xiao He, will join the duo for a limited number of performances.

October 20-30: Contemporary klezmer sextet Klezmofobia brings the Jewish-gypsy folk music into the Twenty-First Century with elements of rock and jazz, and energetic live performances.

July 30-Aug 5: Kalles World Tour. “Like Genesis with Animal on drums and the Little Mermaid on vocals."
